Water Quality Sondes Product Description
The 6820 V2 water quality sondes are an economical monitoring system for you to monitor insitu and profiling sample sites.  The water quality sondes are designed for specific applications where a variety of parameters are required and size and ease of-use are of primary concern.  All 6820 water quality sondes offer a small and economic package for you to sample different water quality parameters.  The water quality sondes are ideal for water level monitoring, ground water, and surface water monitoring for research, assessment, and regulatory compliance applications.  The water quality sonde can simultaneously measure up to 17 parameters: dissolved oxygen, temperature, conductivity, salinity, specific conductance, resistivity, depth, pH, ORP, total dissolved solids, open channel flow, nitrate-nitrogen, ammonia/ammonium-nitrogen, chloride, blue-green algae, chlorophyll, turbidity, and rhodamine.  Featuring a powerful sensor probe and state-of-the-art functions, the water quality sonde makes it easy for you to get highly reliable water quality data simply and quickly just by submersing the sensor in the water.  The water quality sonde's display case has a waterproof design that allows you to work without concern of splashing or accidentally dropping the instrument in the water.  The water quality sonde is flexible enough to use for checking the quality of a broad range of water samples, from factory effluent to urban drainage, river water, lake and marsh water, aquatic culture tanks, agricultural water supplies, and sea water.

Water Quality Sonde Multiparameter Display System
The 650 multiparameter display system (MDS) is used to interface with the 6820 V2 water quality sonde.  The MDS is a powerful, hand held microcomputer based instrument that allows you to display and record real-time water quality sonde readings with custom site lists, configure water quality sondes, store and recall data, and upload and transfer data to computers for analysis and plotting.  Designed for reliable field use, the water quality sonde's display and data logger features a waterproof IP-67, impact-resistant case.  The water quality sonde's display case includes a handstrap and the ability to connect the optional hands free harness for your comfort.  With the standard alkaline battery configuration of 4 C-cells, the 650 MDS will power itself and a 6820 V2 water quality sonde continuously for approximately 30 hours.  A simple cellular phone style keypad allows you to use the water quality sonde MDS's easy to use menu driven interface.  The menu interface gives you access to multi-language support, a graphing feature, a graphical display of the water quality sonde MDS's battery life, and a user selectable backlight option.  The water quality sonde MDS gives you the ability to interface with the EcoWatch® data analysis software and can be updated as new software becomes available.  Standard memory will allow for approximately 150 data sets to be recorded from the water quality sonde.  Exact logging capacity is dependent on the number of active parameters in the water quality sonde.  The optional high memory (1.5 mB) MDS would make it possible to easily upload the data from seven water quality sonde, each of which have data files of approximately 75 days at a 15-minute sampling interval.  The water quality sonde MDS has an optional temperature-compensated barometric sensor that allows you to display readings which can be used for dissolved oxygen measurement calibration.  Measurements can be logged to the water quality sonde MDS's memory for tracking changes in barometric pressure.  The water quality sonde MDS comes with a three year warranty and is CE and C-Tick compliant.

Water Quality Sonde Housing
Purchase of the 6820 V2 water quality sonde includes a temperature and conductivity sensor with options to add optical DO, pH or pH/ORP, non-vented depth, nitrate, ammonium, chloride, blue-green algae, chlorophyll, rhodamine, and turbidity measurements.  The water quality sonde's sensor ports allow you to easily replace all of the sensors, except for the optional depth sensor, in the field.  The water quality sondes can easily connect directly to the EcoWatch® software, the 650 MDS, or your own data collection platform via its SDI-12 interface.  With a slim profile the water quality sondes can fit down three inch wells or take horizontal measurements in shallow water.  Cables up to 100 feet long allow your water quality sonde to reach most typical monitoring points.  A flow cell is available for use with your water quality sonde in groundwater applications.

Water Quality Sonde Sensors
The water quality sonde's ROX optical dissolved oxygen (DO) sensor has an easy-to-replace durable membrane.  The optical DO sensor uses up one of the water quality sonde's two optical ports.  The water quality sonde's optical DO sensor has the widest detection range of any optical dissolved oxygen sensor and can be calibrated with an easy one or two point calibration.  The optical DO sensor gives the water quality sonde several advantages over traditional polarographic DO sensors including zero flow dependence, maintenance free and puncture proof membrane, no electrolyte, a self-cleaning wiper for longer deployment, and a zero calibration option.  Add an ISE sensor to your water quality sonde to complement any sampling regimen with chloride, nitrate and ammonia measurements.  Monitor the presence of harmful algal bloom cells and ecosystems containing blue-green algae in salt or fresh water with the water quality sonde's blue-green algae sensor.  The water quality sonde's blue-green algae sensors are insensitive to potential interferences including chlorophyll, turbidity, and dissolved organics.  An optical chlorophyll probe gives your water quality sonde the ability to quickly and efficiently sample sites in remote areas as well as perform continuous or interval monitoring.  The water quality sonde's chlorophyll sensor is useful for assisting with the prediction of harmful algal blooms.  You can detect accurate in situ trace dye levels with the water quality sonde's 6130 Rhodamine sensor.  The 6136 turbidity sensor is a fouling-resistant, wiped sensor designed to seamlessly integrate with the water quality sonde's optical port.  The turbidity sensor enables your water quality sonde to be used in a wide variety of applications including dredging, construction site monitoring, vertical profiling, and surface water evaluations.

Water Quality Sonde Software
EcoWatch® for Windows® is intended to be the PC software interface to the 6820 V2 water quality sonde environmental monitoring systems equipment.  Standard with all water quality sondes, EcoWatch® software makes communication simple.  Using the required 6070B Cal Cable your water quality sonde sensors can be calibrated and configured.  You can also upload and format your water quality sonde's data then view it in easy to understand graphs and tables.  Large water quality sonde data sets can be analyzed (150,000 data sets).  You will be able to spot trends with automatic water quality sonde data plots and obtain statistics about your data.  You can zoom in on a plot to study particular water quality sonde data sets.  The water quality sonde software is supported by Windows® XP (32 bit) and 7 (32 bit).
